Check In is generally from 2pm on day of arrival until 10pm.
Check Out is at 10am on day of departure. Late check out is only available by prior arrangement and where possible.
Yes complimentary wifi is available
Breakfast is served in our dining room between 7am and 9am. Please let us know what time you would prefer and your choice of home cooked breakfast from our chalkboard menu the night prior.
Smoking is not permitted inside the Lodge or Suites. Smoking is only permitted outside each suite on your patio or balcony using the ashtray provided. We would ask, for the comfort of other guests, that you please close you patio/balcony door to stop any smoke from entering the suite.
All suites have a smart TV. You have access to Free to Air channels as well as SKY Movies & Sport and Netflix. We also have an extensive DVD collection in the Billiard room.
Pets are not allowed. We have a 9yo golden retriever called Bessie whom guests just adore, and a tiny 4 yo cat called Anouk whom you may be lucky enough to meet during your stay. They are not allowed in the suites. If you do not like dogs please let us know and we will manage her interactions with you.
Yes, just a 2 min drive by car is the Bay Bar & Bistro. They are open Tues through to Sunday and offer a relaxed, casual environment.
Taupo township is only a 10 min drive by car and there are a number of excellent restaurants we can recommend. Please refer to the compendium in your suite and you will also find business cards on the lobby desk.
You will find a dairy on Acacia Bay Road just a 2 min drive away.
Countdown supermarket is less than a 10 min drive located on the corner of Spa Road & Tongiriro Street, at the beginning of the Taupo township shopping precinct.
The Lodge has quite a few stairs. Entry to the Lodge is by stairs. There are handrails however no ramps. Access via the side of the house is possible for wheelchair access however this is over grass.
Once in the Lodge the Tui Suite is accessible only by stairs. The Kiwi Suite has 3 steps to descend down to the suite however once there the Billiard/Bar room and Dining/Lounge rooms are accessible and on the same level.
